About

Aglaia Haritz (*1978) combines social reflection, the exploration of femininity and personal introspection in her work in a complex way. In her embroideries, she integrates elements from archives, contemporary narratives and personal memories, creating visually fascinating and deeply meaningful works. The artist emphasises contrasts and addresses both contemporary and universal themes. By interweaving threads of life and death with sewing and embroidery techniques, Haritz develops a unique expressive vocabulary. This addresses the complexity and resilience of humanity and picks up on current issues.
