TUESDAY, APRIL 7, 2026, 7 P.M.
LOCATION: Kulturhaus Obere Stube (Fortuna Hall/Gaststube), Oberstadt 7, 8260 Stein am Rhein
Spanish-German composer Nélida Béjar is Artist in Residence at the Chretzeturm in 2026. At the Meet the Artist, visitors will have the opportunity to get to know Nélida Béjar and gain insight into her working methods during a welcome aperitif. She often works at the intersection of music, theater, and social practice. Her projects are developed in close collaboration with various social groups and understand composition as an open process. As part of a participatory singing project she would like to develop for Stein am Rhein, she is interested in the question of what holds a community together. The event is also intended as an open kick-off: anyone who would like to sing along, contribute ideas, or become part of an emerging choir is invited to join in thinking about what a composition for Stein am Rhein might sound like.
