Ana Strika (*1981) creates temporary stages with her installative spatial drawings. On them, she literally involves us viewers in her artistic-processual material actions. Grasping, placing and laying are inscribed as activities in her natural or recycled objects – but above all a performative constellation, modeling and transformation. The artist understands her objects as a counterpart with which she not only acts, but to which she reacts under the influence of the spatial. Her spatial drawings, which change depending on the viewing angle and position, spiral as installative forms from the second into the third dimension of space. In this way, Ana Strika opens up new spaces in which what is depicted takes place with an unmistakable visual signature and our sensory perception is mobilized.
